This is the new Easter egg in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Google has a traditionally been incorporating an Easter egg inside every version of Android, that can be viewed by repeatedly tapping the Android version number within the Settings app. In Ice Cream Sandwich, you could find the Android Ice Cream Sandwich logo and if you touch and hold it, it would expand and eventually you’d see a Nyan Cat style animation of the logo.
In Android 4.1, you see a Jelly Bean with the tell-tale Android antennae on the top and if you press and hold the image, a large number of cel-shaded jelly beans appear on the screen and you can flick them around as much as you like. You can catch a video of this in action after the break.

This fresh iOS UI concept shows what the iOS 6 should have been

We already know everything there is to know about the upcoming iOS 6 and let’s face it – it’s not going to be the jump Apple is trying to convince us it is. Joost van der Ree published a few inspiring ideas that could easily fit into iOS, boosting the user experience along the way. Some of them are so obvious that makes you wonder why Apple didn’t come up with them in the first place. But maybe they have?

Apple to drop Google Maps in iOS 6 in favor of in-house Maps with cool 3D mode

iOS 6 will reportedly ditch its current version of Maps with Google-driven data at the backend in favor of its own in-house Maps module. While this is no shoking at all, what 9to5Mac sources report is that the app will also feature a breathtaking 3D mode. Featuring a similar design to the current Maps application, the substitute one is said to be faster, cleaner and hopefully will provide a more reliable user experience

Yes, you read right. Nissan, the car maker corporation, has created a protection case for the iPhone 4S, called the Scratch Shield. But, you see, Scratch Shield isn’t your ordinary protective case, because not only does it protect your iPhone from possible injuries — it also heals itself afterwards from any mild scratches.
